stream trout fishing question about bait?
ok now i know where to find trouts, but the question Spinner Bait is, what is the best bait for that? also... i think this stream holds only small ones, so wouldn't the fly kind of in line spinner bait little bit too big for them?

ultra light is not suitable for casting spinnerbaits. most weigh upwards of 1/2 an ounce with a very light one weighing 1/4oz. an ultralight outfit has not the backbone to cast or set the hook with these.better off with a medium heavy rod and at least a sturdy spin-cast reel although a good baitcaster would be far superior.

The blade design between the two is different. Buzzbait was a spinner intended for top water use. Spinners could be used through out the water column. Depending on the blade shape and size, spinners could also be fished fairly slow. Spinners are more versatile but buzzbaits are more exciting. It is always very fun to see fish attacking lures on the surface.

Me personally, I’m not a big spinnerbait kinda guy. I’ll use ‘em occasionally. At night usually. Most of them are between 1/4 ounce and 1/2 ounce. I use anywhere between 8 and 12 pound line with a light to medium-heavy action graphite rod. For the big, Colorado-bladed musky-sized spinnerbait that I have (it weighs about 2 ounces), I use my heavy flippin’ stick with 15 pound mono. I can launch it a good country mile.I never, ever use a spinnerbait with a spinning rod, not even the small ultralight ones. If I wanna toss a small spinnerbait, I’ll use my dad’s ultralight Pixy outfit. Spinning rods just don’t have the correct action for them. And the reels don’t have the right.. what’s the word? The right… schtick.

The lure is almost the same thing i like, but you spinner is about 1 inch too long for me-I like to fish all day and the large spinner takes its toll on me after 5 or 6 hours- you must be a young man. I think that you lost your bet!

There’s a’ fine line between poles bending and “flickin”, when reelin’ in your line but, if it be the latter (“flickin”), then it’s the spinnerbait blade(s) spinning. For the “bend” then it could be that it’s not workin’ with ya’ ie., wrong knot tied, bent wire shafts, to light of rig. Ya’ don’t really have to worry about feelin’ the bites because when it comes to Bass and spinnerbaits, all they do is SMACK IT <);-3Site ya’ might find interestin ~ easy fishing:http://www.angelfire.com/ia3/fishing/basicequipment.htm#spinners
