Heh, Heh, think ya’ know by now what my response would be, but’ll give it anyway ;) , “Uncle Martin” aka Panther Martin and Blue Fox spinners. Why(?), mainly because through these oh’ so many years of beatin’ them waters for Trout and usin’ just about any and all of the spinners on the market these two, for me personally, are producers. End of story butttt, “Fish On” to ya’;)… < ' ( (( ><0pps ~ forgot ta' mention them river smallmouths;)...............

  2. Ole Fisherman Says:

Sounds like you got a good handle on what to use. Here are some other good choices:1. Blue Fox Vibrax Minnow- http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_15446____SearchResults These work esp well in current situations. The 1/8-1/4 OZ Models will catch a variety of fish including Trout, Bass, Pike, Walleye, Etc. 2. Rapala Shallow Shad Rap- http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_2850____SearchResults These work exceptionally well in shallow weedy areas. 3. Booyah Chatterbait-http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_83936____SearchResults I was not “sold” on these until recently. If your fishing muddy/stained water or low light conditions, (like at Sunrise/Sunset and at Night), this newly designed lure WORKS! If the fish are conditioned to seeing, (and “feeling”), Spinnerbaits, a chatterbait puts out a different “signature” in the water. 4. A jig- Any 1/4 OZ Jig with a Berkley Curly-tailed Grub or a Berkley Gulp Leech. Jigs are inexpensive, productive, and catch a variety of fish. AND you don’t feel so bad when you lose them! – http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_98932____SearchResults- http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_15723____SearchResults5. Cotton Cordell Rattle Trap- http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_44610____SearchResultsI live near Duluth, MN and fish in WI rivers regularly. Hope these work as well for you as they do for me?!!!PS- Make sure to dowse all lures with some fish attractant. It makes fish “mouth” the lure a sec longer where you can feel them better. Good luck.

  3. BOBBER Says:

Try an in line spinner with at least 3 feet of line on it and a crawler or leech.
