Try a perch colored jerk bait. They often feed on perch so this would be a good combo. Great luck fishing.

    buy some shiners and spinners

Im not sure exactly what baits you are talking about there but I’ll try to help ya out some. For the Musky and Pike your best bet will be to throw large spinnerbaits, plastic swimbaits, and a larger spoon may do you some good. I like the swimbaits best. Storm brand has a really cool selection but you more than likely wont have the time to go get any baits. Out of what you listed I’d throw the spinnerbaits, and your larger spoons. For your bass I wouldn’t suggest the spoons. Use your spinner and the floating Rapala. The Rapala will do very good this time of the year. Throw it into cover like stumps, rocks, and docks. Fish it slow and fast. You’ll eventually find what they are wanting.

sometimes fishing can be tuff and the key is to just keep at it and eventually you will be a success alos ask around for info from regulars of the lake and also why not try changig your venue

Evidently the fish had a major problem before you caught him. I’m sure in the world of nature there are some that are not in the best of health to start with, much like human beings.Heart attack? Stroke? Who knows.

For the first question, you can assume that each of the 8 slices is equally likely, so there is a probability of 1/8 of the spinner landing on any particular slice. So, since triangles appear on 3 slices, the probability that a triangle occurs is 3/8. Similarly, since squares appear on 3 slices, the probability that a square occurs is 3/8, and since a triangle on top of a square occurs twice, the probability that a triangle on top of a square occurs is 2/8 = 1/4. The next two probabilities can be calculated by addition: the probability that either a square or a triangle on top of a square occurs is 3/8 + 1/4 = 5/8, and the probability that either a triangle or a square occurs is 3/8 + 3/8 = 3/4. Finally, if neither a triangle nor a square occurs, then it must be that a triangle on top of a square occurs, so the probability of this event is 1/4.For the second question, observe that 12/20 = 3/5 of the pike caught were marked. If this is a random sample we should expect that around 3/5 of the pike in the lake are marked. However 36 pike were marked, so if there are x pike in the lake, we should estimate that (3/5)x = 36, i.e., x = 60.

Topwater lures have some good results. Diving crank plugs also work well. Topwater lures and rubber baits work best in shallow water in morning and evening, while divers and spinners work best in afternoon. So, you may have the right stuff, but bad presentation and time of use can prevent you from getting results. Also, old rubber worms smell artificial and unappealing, so make sure your rubber baits have scent on them. So my favorite is whatever works that day, but I really like topwater lures and rubber baits, so my best fishing is in the morning.Sorry, no pics, but anyone in the store should know what you are talking about. I would recommend actually shopping in a sporting goods store, because their employees should know what they are talking about (Beware, they have proven this theory incorrect before).Good luck!

A 10`9“ rod for freshwater seems a little overkill, meaning its really heavy for the lures and bait you`ll be using. A rod that long is usually for saltwater surf fishing so you can cast it over the waves. None the less, one of the best things I did when I started fishing as a kid was to keep a fishing log book. Just use a simple notebook and record the air temp water temp, cloud cover, rain/wind etc, time of day, the day month year, the place you fished, the structure- rocks/submerged logs/lilly pads/drops offs/etc, the baits/lures you are using- their style and colors, and then what you caught, if anything. Even after a year you will start noticing trends and patterns to when the fish will bite what they like and what they dont like. As you would with any lake or stream dont think like the fish think like the bait. Match the colors to bait you see in the lake bc thats what they are feeding on. If you see a lot of worms or after a rain you go fishing use worms since they get washed into the lakes, if you see nymphs or larvae use them. If you see baitfish use a lure that matches their size or color.

Bass are usually only in areas with lots of hiding places (such as logs, or heavily planted areas)

Hi Brian,Pike are a very aggressive species and will strike about anything that gets near them if they’re hungry! They’ve even been known to eat small rodents and ducklings and of course any fish up to 20% of their own weight. As for dead bait, you might try smelt or suckers or any other type of oily fish. Pike have a very well developed sense of smell and are attracted these kinds of fish.If you’re fishing in a river, you have the current to contend with, which is different than fishing in a lake. Make sure you have enough weight when you fish with dead bait so that it isn’t floating too near the surface. When you cast, spoons are easier to cast than spinners since they’re heavier and you’ll have better luck getting them to go where you want. The dardevils, red-eyes and large Johnson silver minnows are all great lures to try. You can buy those at http://basspro.com at least in the United States. Generally, you’ll want to cast the lure upstream and reel in as it comes toward you. Pike strike hard, so be ready for a fight when you hook one!Pike like to hide out to wait for their prey to swim by so you might have better luck casting by fallen logs or deep holes. You might ask other fishermen in your area what they do to catch pike. You might want to try fishing for pike in a lake as an alternate experience.I hope these tips help a little!

    1. Ive never used or seen gulp specifically for pike and walleye but if its made then im sure itd work. Im a bass guy and ive pulled a lot bass out on this stuff when nothing else would work. 2. The rapala floating lures aren’t made for just trolling or not trolling. They’re really productive baits when fished right be it trolling or not.3. Color all dpends on the weather and water conditions. Generally on cloudy overcast days a darker color will be a good bet (blacks, pumpkinseed, and dark blues)On sunnier days a natural or lighter color is best (shad, light blues, and reds)4. For the walleye id suggest fishing a live minnow on a jig head, go with the smallest jig head you can that still gets the bait to the bottom. Its a little hard to do this without a boat sometimes because for the best results you need to fish about vertically and jig the minnow up and down off the bottom. For the pike I like using larger swimbaits. Storm brand swimbaits have a good variation. They have baits that resemble sunfish, crappie, and walleys. 5. The plastic worms won’t do anything for you when it comes to pike and walley. They are made for bass. Spoons are a pretty good bet for the walleys and maybe a pike or 2 but its a little doubtful. You want to fish the spoons similar to like i mentioned for the minnow above. Throw it out and jig it up and down off the bottom fairly slow.

spinners are awsome for both pike and bass I use them all the time for the same pike and bass. And you just have to reel it in and the it will do the rest.
