Check out this review:
No joke, when I was looking for Pike Musky the other day, I was having one heck of a time finding it online. When I did finally find it, I made sure I bought it quickly. What follows is my review.
I was impressed with Pike Musky plain and simple. When I placed my order, I had in in my hands within 3 days and that’s no joke. The key is looking for a seller with over a 100 feedback rating on Ebay. I’ve even included an Ebay listing to Pike Musky in this review to make it even easier on you.

8 to 10 for bass, except in heavy weeds I would go up to 15. Musky and Northerns I use 17 to 20 . Never tie a regular knot in any as that will lessing the strength by more than half.

Florida, or Georgia would be my first options. Georgia has these gigantic bluegills, the biggest probably in the world. Some of them get 2-3 pounds, and one pond was drained out, and they found a 4 pound bluegill! I agree with the guy that said Lake Okeechobee is a great place to fish, i would give anything to fish that place. It even looks good on the Xbox!!! lmao … Okeechobee has Walleye, Crappie, Large and smallmouth, and northern pike for sure. I don’t know about musky or walleye. You would have to check the local people to see. (There is many fisherman on YA! from Flordia, i think.)So, for me Georgia or Florida.Hope i helped ya out.

Depends on what type of fish you want to catch?Walleye- Mille Lacs is hot for Walleye and Musky. However, it’s a BIG lake and can be dangerous and “not fun” when weather comes in. Plus, Mille Lacs has ever changing laws on size restrictions, so, if you want a “walleye dinner” you have to fish perty hard to find a keeper. Lake Vermilion is fun for Walleye. And if you want premium Walleye & Lake Trout try Gunflint Lake near the Border of Canada. (In fact, all border lakes have decent levels of Walleye & Northern). Crappie- Red lake. Island Lake near Duluth. I agree with Artie! The “Thumbs Down Monsters” have reared their ugly heads again. Artie don’t pay attention! Recall the average age on YAnswer’s, (12-18 yr old). Artie, you just keep on answerin’! “F” the idiots! If it’s any condolence I get them too (thumbs down), and I know a TON of fishing info as well. For every 1 person you actually help, 25 are really “un-interested” and only asking for “entertainment purposes”, 35 wanted a “5 word answer” and 50 want the totally “abridged”, “quickest, easiest, NO-hassle” way to catch a limit. I’m happy when I help just 1 person out of 100……SO, you keep answerin’! (Thumbs UP bro!)PS: An 11LB Bass in Minnesota? That sounds like a “tall tale” ! The state record is 8LB’s. (wink) (smile)

Yes it is. The only thing like that that I’ve ever heard of being regulated or checked is some of the Redfish tournaments I fish, the winning fish are cut open and examined to make sure no foriegn materials (lead sinkers) are present. But that has only happened at a few tournaments. And at all of those tournaments the fish were already being donated back to the tournament for a fish fry so it’s not like they killed them for ne reason.

There are so many of them out there that are perfect for what you want that it makes it really hard to say, and as usual, will basically come down to what you are willing to spend. Here is a great site with mail order if you choose, you’ll have to narrow down your search accordingly, but most of these combos will work for you. You can also buy the rod separately if you choose, I’m not sure about any ‘Multiplier’, never heard of that……………..

I live in Asheville and one of my favorite lakes is Lake James near Hickory. It has a great smallie population and largemouth too. Lake Fontana has walleye, smallmouth and largemouth and is more west in the mountains. Lake Wylie near Charlotte is a great largemouth lake. I have fished the New River when I was a kid.As far as rivers go we have the French Broad (smallmouth, brown trout) and Swannanoa(trout). My favorite lake here is a thermal lake south of Asheville that is electric motor only, Lake Julian. The power plant keeps water warm so fish spawn early and no smallmouth but the bass get to feed on the rare talapia population in the lake. The fish are always health and no trash on banks or in water. Local resturants serve the talapia from the lake. Good luck I dont know much east past Winston Salem.

I like to use lures. (More active fishing than a bobber and bait). They have Pike/Musky specific lures, but pike will hit most any lure. They like to play with lures and bait, so don’t be surprised to get hits but no fish the first few tosses.Your best bet is to talk to a local bait shop to see what the fish are hitting. They do vary in hunting and feeding during different times of the year depending on what the main food supply is at that time. They may be feeding more in the surface and you might want floating minnows or similar bait, or they might be feeding more off the bottom, in which case you want the bait to sink. The might be more actively hunting, in which case the lures will be the most successful.

No the water is a bit to warm for them there. I grew up on the next lake over, Lake Tawokani which has catfish, bass, sand bass, crappie and stripers. It gets super hot there and I have seen water temps in the mid 90′s which is way to warm for Pike and Musky. You would need to go a bit north of Oklahoma to find those species.

Im not sure what your definition of cheap is but you have a few different optionsHere is a charter company that is located in the poconos:http://www.poconofishingadventures.com/If you are into fly fishing and are looking for some large trout, there is a guide service that you can contact at:http://www.riversflyfishing.com/leh.phpIf you are willing to drive a little farther, you can go on a deep sea charter. There are so many out of new jersey. I would recomend the Miss Barnegat Light. That boat is bigger and faster than most. It will only cost you $45 if you have your own gear.http://missbarnegatlight.com/Hope this helps

Yes I have caught Pike before. can’t go wrong with a Hot Steal Floating Rapala along the weedbeds. You don’t always have to go deep to catch pike, they are predators and will go shallow (like Muskie they love the weedbeds). I’d use a steal leader if I were you, they have extremely sharp teeth and a 8lb pike could tear off your 16lb test line. I’d say spring is the best time to catch pike, in some areas, when right when the ice thaws is the best time to catch pike because they have been underwater for so long with limited food source, and they are looking for a quick meal.

Lake of the WOODS and you don’t need to go into Canada. There is excellent fishing in the Minnesota sector.. Also Voyageurs NP. But you ain’t see’d nuttin until you have fished Bank’s Lake, which is my secret location. Monster Walleyes, Smallmouths, trout and Perch.

For Bass go with a top water bait like a Rapala color of your choice .For a Walleye use a leach or worm on the bottom at night .For a Northen Pike use a chub three feet of the bottom along the weeds in 15 feet of water .For a Musky use a Large stick bait jerking along the out side of visable weeds .
