No joke, when I was looking for Spinnerbait Pike the other day, I was having one heck of a time finding it online. When I did finally find it, I made sure I bought it quickly. What follows is my review.

I was impressed with Spinnerbait Pike plain and simple. When I placed my order, I had in in my hands within 3 days and that’s no joke. The key is looking for a seller with over a 100 feedback rating on Ebay. I’ve even included an Ebay listing to Spinnerbait Pike in this review to make it even easier on you.

How can I modify a bent arm spinnerbait to form a closed eye so that I can use steel leaders?
I want to use 1/2, and 3/4 oz titanium spinnerbaits with a bent arm to fish for pike. I am seeking a sturdier and more permanent solution than orthodontic rubberbands.

   Spinnerbaits like the one you bought can catch a variety of fish, so chances are you will hook something else (bass, pike, even crappie) before you hook the ‘skie you’re dreaming of. If you are fishing in the early spring, while the water is still cold, you are going to be targeting pike with that lure, and if it’s flashy, you will get bites. You want to cast into shallow weed beds, weedlines, and gaps or openings in the weeds. When I say weeds now I mean submergent vegetation, or vegetation the doesn’t breach the surface of the water (which is known as emergent vegetation). The northerns will be spawning in these areas as well as hiding down in the vegetation waiting for fish to swim over so they can ambush from below. Run your spinnerbait just between the top of the weeds and below the surface. If you see a fish following your bait, don’t slow it down! Speed it up. Make it look like its trying to escape. Like I said, you will hook into pike real easily in the spring, but most musky are dormant at this time. As the water warms during the summer, the musky will become active. The warm summer water is their ideal feeding condition, and they spawn later in slightly warmer water than the pike. They are not necessarily more difficult to catch than a pike, dispite popular belief. They are a very aggressive fish, just like a pike. The reason for their elusiveness is because they hatch later than the young pike who have had a chance to grow, and they in turn become forage for the pike. The result is a much smaller muskie population in lakes that also contain pike (which is pretty much all of them). If you target summer muskies in those shallow, weedy areas in lakes that have musky populations, you will find them with your spinner bait. When they do hit, and you feel the weightt of the fish, keep steady pressure on them. If you give them slack, they will spit out your bait! Keep pressure and set the hook like its your job, again, never letting off on line tension. Keep that tension throughout the fight, and reel em in! Don’t forget a sturdy braided line(at least 30lb test) and a leader(at least a foot long). Tie your braided line to your leader with a palomar knot. That help? Good luck!
