With all the fly patterns available, what did you come with on your own that catches fish?
Mine is "Mr. Moose"Size 12/14 standard Mustad wet fly hook + gold bead headBody: black or brown mohair yarnTail: black or brown goose biotsCollar: Mustad Hook peacock herlLegs: 3 strands moose hair on each sideThread: brown or blackPlace bead on hook, wrap thread underbody, attach biots,then mohair yarn, wrap body with yarn 3/4 up the hook shank, tie off. Wrap collar w/ peacock herl, tie off. Attach 3 strands of moose hair on one side, tie in, trim, tie off, then do the other side. trim hair flush w/ herl, trim hair to 3/4 body legnthWorks well as a smaller stonefly nymph or for general prospecting.
