A good stout 7 footer spooled wiht as much 20lb test you can fit and a nice spining reel are what i use when I am not using my fly rod. For reds, drifting live shrimp or small shad are a favorite and as far as lures go curly tailed grubs work pretty well as well as any bait fish pattern type stick bait. For mackrel make sure you use a steel leader as they are toothy little creatures who will shred mono in a heartbeat, back hooking small bait fiosh work well for them. Forget about the dep sea stuff, like I said a good stout spinning combo will work great. Flounder are ambush feeders mostly so running small minnos on the bottom wiht a flounder rig works pretty good and strips of squid will bring them to the cooler too. Mind your creel and size limits and Good Luck! Tight lines!

No one can answer this question better than Zoom. Contact them directly. If they can’t sell you the quantity you requested, they will let you know where their local dealers are.http://zoombaits.com/Addition:You could also attend trade shows. Sometimes, obtaining a catalogue for the trade show alone will provide sufficient information.

Not sure about arkansas but for catfish i have always used a treble hook with a sinker about a foot abouve the hook. and on the hook put 1 live worm and and a dead minnow. If you have minnows for small mouth and crappie fishing just set up the ones that don’t make it on yopur catsish rigs.

Already some great answer’s here. My 2 cent’s: Casting slightly up-current will allow your bait to quickly reach bottom. You WANT to reach bottom ASAP! A “tumbling bottom-rig lost in a current” is going to get snagged 90% of the time. That’s why it’s important to use the correct amount of weight & cast up-current. Also, WATCH “where” the locals that AREN’T getting snagged are casting. ‘Ole Salt jetty guys know EXACTLY where the snaggs are and avoid them. Look at their riggs and see what # test they are using, (Or simply ask them!) Heavier line is stronger, (17LB-20LB), but due to line diameter, doesn’t sink as fast as (12LB-14LB). And if your bait doesn’t reach bottom VERY quickly-BOOM-your snagged! They do make a rope-like snagless weight but they only come in 1OZ and lighter. Ingun is right about the 3 way rig. You may still get snags with a 3-way, but at least your able to retrieve some of your terminal tackle and line. Hope this helps? Good luck!

If you’re checking your bag you can take whatever you want. If you want to carry it on, you may have some issues with the jig heads. Have a fun trip, hope you catch some big fish and enjoy Bolivia!!

You might find it hard to believe but there are usually over 50,000 listings of tackle on Ebay.com. I have bought lots of stuff there at very good prices. Be sure to ask seller questions before you bid.http://sporting-goods.search.ebay.com/fishing_Fishing_W0QQfromZR34QQfsooZ2QQfsopZ2QQsacatZ14104QQsbrsrtZdAnother good choice for online tackle shopping is at http://www.tacklewarehouse.com

I wouldn’t trust a reel estate agent as far as I could cast him/her.

I had a look at your site and the first thing that jumped out at me was the poor spelling. I’m not knocking your site but you need it to look as professional as possible. Poor spelling just looks unprofessional and hackey. Clean up the spelling and try to compress the images so that it loads a little faster. Good Luck with it.

I don’t know about Chicago, but South Bend, Indiana has a namesake company. and South Bend, makes not only rods, reels, but other tackle as well, and I would think that, yes, they probably import most of their product on the global market.Just typed South Bend Fishing Rods into the search box & here’s what it came up with:SouthBend Sporting Goods1910 Techny Rd.Northbrook, Illinois60065Phone: (847)-715-1400Fax: (847)-715-1411Go figure, it is located in Chicago.Don’t know for sure if this’ll help, but it’s a start. Goodluck & Good fishing

  14. pghmarty Says:

Use a noodle rod with a good spinning reel.Salmon are line shy so you might want to use a 4 to 8 pound fluorocarbon leader with 6 to 12lb main line. For bait:small spinners with a maggot on the hookMini-foo with maggot or single egg.Single egg on #12 gold hookSkein on a #10 trebble hookPowerbait on #10 trebble hook Rainbow Color or flavor of the week at tackle shop.Minnows- prefer like but salted if needed. use #6 or #8 circle hook-I like the ones with 18″ flouro snellsFor dept try 1 to 3 foot off bottom. then go up if action is slow

  15. Mike Says:

Fishing tackle is NOT cheap. Your best bet is probably on eBay. You can get some decent lures and tackle from chinese manufacturers there.Keep in mind, you get what you pay for.EDIT: http://www.overstockbait.com is having a 99 cent sale with some nice lures. I just picked up 10 bags of tiki frogs myself :)

  16. Artie Says:

Call the local field office of the D F G in your county. The fish and game people will have volunteers go through it refurbish it and pass it out to those in need at fishing events.

  17. Bass Catcher Says:
