Hey, I just bought "Gulp, New Fishing Lures Penny" shrimp lures thinking they would be good for freshwater fishing. Little did I know but they are used for saltwater. Will they work when I go freshwater fishing?

As pointed out in the other answer, there are different types of lures… soft and hard.. soft are usually soft plastic, rubber, or a similar soft material, and hard could be wood, metal or hard plastic. I would assume you are asking about the hard lures, like wood and hard plastic. There’s many factors to consider in durability of hard lures. You could lose them to tough snags on rocks, submerged trees; hooks could be bent… also the paint can be worn off by brushing against tough structure (rocks for instance), and also fish hitting it a lot. You would want to consider the possibility of rust, especially if it is a salt water lure. remember even if made of wood it has metal components to it, like the hook(s), the eye attached to it, the ring attached to the eye.Plastic versus balsa, or another wood. Some lures, such as spoons or spinners, are made entirely of metal and/or decorated with plastic/rubber and/or feathers…You should probably spend some time learning more about fishing and the types of tackle, fishing techniques, and aquatic diversity before trying to make a game related to it. Go buy a rod and reel, and some lures, and do some field testing. I can assure you, as an angler, that i wouldn’t even give your game a chance if i didn’t know the developers went out fishing enough to understand more than what i clued you in on about lures.
