I had to buy several items just to realize that Custom Hand was the best choice for the price all along. The only negatives I’ve found were that there are better units available, but they are more expensive and the reviews I found on them were on the negative side. So here’s my final word. I 100% endorse Custom Hand and will even show you some places to get it even cheaper than retail.
Is there anywhere that offers custom, hand-painted Christmas ornaments?
For Christmas this year I was hoping to give my family Custom Hand a custom, hand painted ornament depicting the house we grew up in. I'm looking for a website (or store) to which I can submit a photo of the house and then have the company recreate it on a Christmas ornament. Any suggestions? Thank you!

You could try purchasing a special edition of limited run pistol. Colt is almost always turning out limited edition 1911s, including ones with snakeskin grips. You can also buy a standard production pistol and send it to a qualified gunsmith to turn it into something truly unique. You could try places like Hamilton Bowen or Robar. Try looking on some of the internet firearms forums to find good quality gunsmiths.Lastly, custom grips for various pistols always add a bit of class to a new handgun.

I believe that attracting customers is the first challenge that business establishments must surpass in order to survive in the market. Now if you have a good product, you need not to worry about the flow of customers in your store because good word-of-mouth about your product is a very powerful and the cheapest advertising tool. But to help you to get a volume of traffic to your store in lesser time, try getting some custom banners and signs to announce your product in the neighborhood. This is cheaper compared to other advertising tool present and surely your target customers will be aware of your store’s presence in the area. You can work with http://www.t3signdesign.com personnel in coming up with the perfect banner or signs suited for your business advertisement.

I had this same problem before Christmas. My mom drinks wine and I wanted to get her a glass. I didn’t see anything that I thought she would like. Then I found lady in georgia that would do it. I sent her a picture and she painted that glass for me. It was the best gift ever. Her name is Tabbi.

You can have it done locally at office supply stores, or at “rubberstamp” businesses in your area (look in the yellow pages under Rubberstamps). My favorite way though (and usually cheaper) is to order through the mail order company called ReadyStamps. Check out my answer in this previous question for much more on how to order from them, all the things they can do, cost, etc:http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20091226172225AAZWAbKHTH

I learned in dressmaking school. We began by altering and adjusting commercial patterns, then by draping a fitting shell, tracing it and altering and adjusting that pattern. That worked for years. I then took a course in pattern making for sewing and we began by making a collection of basic blocks and then used the block patterns to make fashion garments. Years later I took industry level pattern making and we made a collection of basic blocks and used them to make fashion garments and then grade these blocks and garments to different sizes. In my business I seldom draft from scratch any more. I have a collection of tried and true blocks and most of my garment designs are variations on these tried and true blocks. For special custom dresses I combine basic blocks with some start at zero drafting, but this is rare.I learned through practise and experimentation. The first book I used was “how to make sewing Patterns” by Don McCunn It was part of the dressmaking curriculum in school. For pattern-making we learned from the Helen Joseph Armstrong books, they are very difficult and you need to use them in conjunction with a college professor and tutor. The third book I’ve used and the one I use the most now is Winifred Aldrich’s metric Pattern Cutting series. It’s becoming the industry favourite, being far easier to follow than the Armstrong books. It’s not something you can pick up by reading a book. I learned by practise, experimentation and by making a lot of mistakes along the way. Each mistake was a learning opportunity. There is no quick and easy way to learn drafting. Last I checked pattern making was an integral part of fashion school. Isn’t it part of your school’s curriculum? Can you drape your garments? this is often easier than hand drafting and you can make a fashion collection with greater speed than by drafting.Maybe your school will teach this as you go through the year. The year end show is to show off what you have learned through the school year.
