I hope you find these listings helpful. If you are like me, you need a little bit on information before making a buying decision. Here’s a description of Swim Shad for you.

How do you fish with shad, minnows, shiners etc.? How do you set them up on Swim Shad the hook?
Do you just put the hook through its lip like you would normally catch a fish, and just cast it out and let it swim around?

i would try the bigger minnow but maybe slow your presentation just a bit,i have caught plenty of big bass on fast moving lures simply from reaction strikes.but the majority of the lunkers are caught at a snails pace, big bass adapt a lazy eating style as they get bigger they usually dont get very big if they chase everything that goes by.try subtle variations remove the rattle, smaller line diameter, slowly hop the bait, scent spray the combinations are endless.if all else fails at least you know how to catch 1-2 pounders

I would put steel core line on my reel to make it heavier and make it sink faster. Finally I would put on either an 8 oz or a similarly heavy triangle weight to hold the bottom. Look for any area where the current swirls or forms a whirl pool and cast your bait as close to that a possible.

fish the swim bait from the top down and the squid from the bottom upif the swim bait’s tail isn’t moving back and forth giving the bait a lively action ( trick # 243 ) cut a vee shape out of the top of the tail, I use my teeth to bite the vee into them and spit the chunk out. The tail will really move back and forth. I like to work swim baits parallel to the rocks from the surface down and twitching the rod giving the bait as it drops a spastic twitch (it triggers strikes from true predators) close your drags down and use a stiff tip rod (heavy action) to pull the grumps out of their holes….. Also cast the swim bait into any boiling water especially any bird action on the surface and let it drop un restricted by the line….. with the squid I would drop to the bottom and work it the exact opposite by bringing it up off the bottom and dancing it every crank while moving my rod tip from left to right during one dance and right to left switching direction trying to make the squid look like it is rising to the surface while making little circles in the water actually more like a spiral staircase up.
