I had to buy several items just to realize that Berkley Power was the best choice for the price all along. The only negatives I’ve found were that there are better units available, but they are more expensive and the reviews I found on them were on the negative side. So here’s my final word. I 100% endorse Berkley Power and will even show you some places to get it even cheaper than retail.
Fishing Line to use ?
I am considered a rookie in fishing and i am not really sure what sort of Berkley Power fishing line i should use for my Reel. I have a few brands in mind such as Spiderwire , Berkley , Power Pro and Surecatch Live Braid. Can anyone tell me which of the brand above is the best ?

This is what works for me- I have found that the name brand lures are too soft for my liking- they will not catch but one or two fish and have to be replaced- sometimes they go off the hook when the bait is casted-my method of dealing with this is to buy the generic lookalikes- I have found that they are almost always tougher then the name brands and cheaper also. I caught six bass today on one senko type generic lure before it came off the hook – I have found no decrease in the fish catching ability of the generics against the name brands, when it comes to the plastics- In fact I think the name brands are made soft so that you will have to buy two or three packs for each fishing trip- this increases their profits. Good luck and good fishing.

Shes a professor of rhetoric? THAT comes as no surprise. Its double talk and nonsense, and her own “special” way of trying to make a lifetime of sitting on her ass in a classroom seem important and relevant to someone, anyone. She is without a doubt a liberal.I’m still trying to figure out what is being talked about. Maybe supply a stub or some background so MAYBE(?) it could could help me or someone decipher this BS.

Both of those types lures will work in different situations. Bass are quite picky and they will bite on one thing one day, and something completely different the next. Rapala’s may look more like fish, but they are also stick baits, so they don’t have as much movement or flash as the mepps, but both work really well. It just all depends on what those fish are eating that day.And yes, attractants DO work. I haven’t tried Berkley, but I have had luck with YUM and Kick n’ Bass and Spike-It. It has increased my catch ratio compared to when I am not using it. I’ve used a lure without it, nothing. Then sprayed it on and tossed the same lure in the same spot and caught Bass. So YES, it does work, you just have to find the one they like.Tight lines!!

Any name brand line should suffice so long as it matches the requirements for your reel. If your just a rookie dont worry so much about the gear just get out and experiment. You will find a line you like best as you gain experience. http://usedfishinggear.info

Channel catfish act like stream trout in the way they get food. They wait in ambush as the food floats to them. That means they are facing upstream when they are looking for food. The bobber is to keep the bait floating above the bottom so they can see it. My guess is you were fishing in a fished out area.

Good for him. Many scientists also believe in a divine power. Contrary to fundie rants, not all scientists are atheists. I am a devout Catholic and yes, I believe in our Creator. That does not mean I view science or evolution as something “evil.” All knowledge and wisdom comes from God – that includes science and evolution which is all part of God’s plan.I think what turns some people off to religion are the raging fundies who claim science and scientists are “evil”. However, the overwhelming majority of Christians and Jews and people of other faiths have no problems with science including evolution. They are able to see how it all fits together.
