time to catch a big fish....(Another fishing question) lol?
Ive been fishing for a few years, getting more and more involved with the sportt, the truth is im fed up with catching little fish on my hook, or them little nipper bluegills that take the worm from the hook and dont take the desert (the hook) lol, even then i dont feel a accomplishment, i aint ready to buy $20 lures and whip up a tuna fish or something, i got time Jig Spinner to progress, but im ready for the next level, maybe im fishing the wrong places, or the wrong area, i live in Stark county, Northeast Ohio, i dont wanna travel too far because of gas just to get skunked, but i know theres bigger fish in the lakes im fishing at... I usually use nighcrawlers and drag along the bottom for catfish, Some float a bober with a minnow or something for bass or something, but whats the deal with getting the bigger fish, i wanna start eating my catches, the minimum is 15 inches and ill be lucky to get 10 inches... I also use plastic bait and spinner lures crankbaits and them little crappy jigs.I also wanna know how to out smart a carp, coz as soon as i spot one, it hears my thoughts and harpoons through the water. I tried using some carp bait from the baitshop for them, but i havent even got a hit from them.

We use Canadian night crawlers and seem to have a lot of luck with them.Have also found that fishing on the bottom and jerking your line a little while it’s down there helps attract the bass.Make sure you put a weight on your line and just keep doing the jerking thing.I’ve caught up to 6 or 7 bass using this technique.Hope this helps.

hard baits are hard plastic or balsa wood baits. they mimic fish, crawdads, or things. used when you cannot use minnows or natural baits. soft baits are soft plastic baits. they mimic most things- worms, fish and aquatic animals and insects. more life-like action than hard baits. both of these baits are cast and retrieve, where minnows are cast and wait.jigs are a lead headed hook with a dressing of some sort to hide the hook shank and to give movement to the jig. fish in cover, cast and it drops, use a hopping retrieve- looks like some thing eating on the bottom or moving on the bottom.spinners are a a bait that has a blade attached to the body. as you retrieve the bait, the blade turns and flashes like a small fish trying to escape. cover a lot of water per castlures are anything used ti lure a fish to bite.worm and hook- good slow day of fishing.
