This is a totally unsolicited review of Curly Tail. I wrote it exclusively for you. Trust me on this one. Curly Tail has completely surpassed our expectations.
Why is my pug's tail not curly anymore?
I have a pug dog and for the past 2 days his tail Curly Tail is only curly sometimes but most of the time it's straight like a regular tail. Why?Well, we've had him for over a year. He always has a curly tail except the past 2 days.

If she’s a mix then it’s because the other breed of dog in her probably didn’t carry the curly tail gene. It could also be a defect in her that just won’t make her show quality. It won’t hurt your dog just because her tail won’t curl. You won’t be able to use her as a show dog though.

I tend to believe the breeder. Since there is no breed of dog within the Golden’s history with a curly tail. So no it can’t be a any kind of genetic abnormality!It happen sometimes with just the way a pup is in the uterus. Especially if it was a bigger litter, or if the mom was on the smaller side of breed standard. Over crowding in utero and sometimes cause a minor problem with a pup or 2. I would just let it be and allow the dog to live a normal happy life!

Take his temperature and check his gums. The first sign in my curly tailed dogs that they don’t feel good is a hanging tail. I hope it’s nothing!Good luck to you both.

There are 2 correct answers to this question:1) He’s not pure breed.or2) He’s pure breed with a freak tail mutation.Without knowing ALL of his bloodline for sure, there’s no way of knowing which it is.And, if he’s from a pure breed litter, there’s no guarantee that some other sneaky dog didn’t get at the mama dog while she was still in heat.Unless you’re gonna show him, it’s not a problem.(It is a fault, if not a disqualification in the show ring)He’ll still be a great pet though.Cheers.

Your dog has complete control over its tail. I’ve got two pups – littermates – and one has a tendency to curl his tail up over his back and the other doesn’t.

Take a curler(once you have it in a pony tail) and hold the curler there for about 30sec ( or till it holds the curl) and do small pieces of hair of your ponytail till you’ve done all of it! To make it stay in place longer… spray just a tad of hairspray in the ponytail!Hope this helps!!!

No way of legally (and ethically) turning a curly tail straight. You could always check a local shelter for a dog that may be both those breeds, and it may have a straight tail. There are lots of husky crosses in the shelters in my area.ADD: Those other ways probably wouldn’t work and would be painful. What’s wrong with a curly tail?

Your hair would look cute i you curled the side pieces and put the resty in a bun and curl your bangs in. But if you don’t have any bangs then grab a little piece of hair from the front and curl it down. Or another option is curl all your hair and put it in a pony tail with some ront hair hanging down. You will look so beautiful.
