Try a fluke (bubblegum), or a bleeding tube. Bass assassins and sluggos work good, too.

Some of my favorite all around lures would be:beetle spins- {white with red dot}small spinners – {panther martin}floating rapalas -{black and silver, sizes f-3 thru f-11} These lure may not catch the biggest fish in the lake but will catch the most and the largest variety. Good luck fishing !

I fish the grub for bass texas rigged so the hook is hidden, you can also use a 1/8 jig, i usually go 1/4 jig for further casts as well and i fish larger grubs as well. To fish grubs you can reel it in real slow and twitch it up and down very sudally, you can also fish it on the bottom , and give it quick pulls, and then let it drop back to the bottom. I use powerbait grubs as i like the scent infused alot and thats what ive always had in my tackle box. I also like to use a texas rigged tube, that you just crawl along the bottom, giving it little hops along imitating a crayfish, i find this usually works. Another thing i love to use is small spoons, many would think im an idiot for saying this but i love them, I used to troll spoon for trout but had to put them away as i was hooking to many bass, so thats what i fish for bass with now, and for a spoon just cast it out with some weight and then reel it on in and repeat. You can also use topwater baits like a popper that creates small waves and makes a popping sound to attract. You fish a popper without any weight, just cast it out and tighten you line, then twitch you rod forward so it makes a pop, then wait so that the wake rings produced are about 5 feet away and the repeat. You can also try mixing your retrieval up like doing 2 pops at a time and then one, but be sure to give some time before your next pop, it gives to bass more time to hit it. You also dont want to set the hook right away until you are sure the fish have the lure. Topwater fishing is one of my favorites as you can see what the fish are doing and watch the action. Grub work very well but dont forget other types, like tubes and topwaters, tubes can also be fished on a jig, but be sure to embed the hook in the tube so its weedless. Good luck and tight lines

They sure will hit a lure. I have caught several of them using a small H&H spinner bait. Also a plastic worm. Caught one on a spinner bait earlier this year that pulled a 16 foot boat with a 60 hp 4-stroke and 2 people and 2 ice chests for over 30 yards before breaking off.The fish had to weigh a good bit to be able to do that. But I was always fishing for bass when a cat would hit my lure.I never purposely fished for catfish using a lure.
