Two Puppies Establishing Pack Order and I Don't Agree?
I have two puppies. One is 4 months (we have had him for two months) and we just brought home a 10 week old girl. Tonight we introduced them for the first time. Our male started fights with the female, barked at her like crazy (he never barks) and Pack Nip play fought. He would mostly swipe and nip at her and every few minutes she'd react with a stern bark or more. What I've noticed is our male always backs down and she always holds her ground. It seems that she is establishing herself as the pack leader. For example, they had one fight and at the end she walked over to me for attention while he looked on helpless before burying his head. It was clear she had "won."I don't want my boy to become second in command. Is there anything i should or can do? Is this going to change his amazing personality? I feel like she's breaking his spirit...
