Any natural glow lotion that you know from experience works well? NOT fake tanners that make you orange!?
Does anyone know, from experience, some type of lotion or anything I can put on my legs to make them more tan. But something that is like a subtle glow, not a bright orange mess.

Hello Karolis685, I’m Blake from The Home Depot out in California. Luckily for you there are more options for interior lighting today than ever before! There are three common color levels for interior lights, the most yellow is Soft White, then you have Bright White (also called Cool White) which is whiter than a standard incandescent, and finally Daylight which is very white and is designed to replicate bright mid-day sunlight. These color options are available in new Compact Fluorescent bulbs which last longer than regular incandescents, and use much less energy! So you will be doing better for yourself and the environment. It sounds like the best bet for you would be the Daylight CFL’s which are the whitest typically available. I hope this helped shed some light on your lighting predicament. BlakeTheDiyGuy @ community.homdepot.com

Yes, it is something that is heating up, and is completely normal and a basic function of the old CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) monitors. That orange glow you see is the heater element (filament) in the base of the CRT tube that heats the cathode to generate the electrons that can then be controlled and focused to hit certain parts of the screen to make the images you see on the other side. I’ve included some links to help show how tubes can glow like you saw, and how they work.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Tubes.jpghttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cathode_ray_tubehttp://www.hans-egebo.dk/Tutorial/tubes.htmhttp://www.john-a-harper.com/tubes201/http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vacuum_tubeThere is nothing wrong with your monitor, or anything to worry about, and you should be fine to turn it off when you’re not using it to reduce the heat that can be generated by the tube.Best of luck.

rubbing alcohol to take it ALL off, or a sugar scrub to remove just the streaks. And, for the record- Sally Hansen makes a SPRAY on instant on leg tanner that looks better, even used all over, and will stay on until you scrub it off with soap. Yes you can wear it with white clothes.

Nice pictures, I really enjoyed them. It was obviously near sunset and the low sun angle forces the light in a path that has to go much further than normal through the atmosphere. The trees appeared dark in the pictures so the sun actually may have already set at the location the pictures were taken. When the path of sunlight goes through a lot of atmosphere the large particles of dust and other matter in the atmosphere near the surface causes the scattering of longer wavelength colors such as red and orange rather than the shorter wave lengths such as blue and violet. The scattering of the short wave lengths gives the sky the blue color we perceive. The scattering of the longer wavelength reds and orange colors then are reflected by the clouds that are still in the light of the setting sun.

I’m guessing that you don’t need to worry, because usually UV rays come from direct light sources with UV properties. Whereas yours is a glowing filament reflective source. No UV rays.
