I really don’t see the need for a remote starter on a boat. Just use the ignition switch like everyone else.

Interesting. Two posts, one says no and one says yes. The truth is that it depends. The older X-box would not send sound over HDMI so you had to hook up digital sound cables in addition to the HDMI for video. The newer X-box will properly send both video and sound over the HDMI cable. However, only the very newest receivers will both decode HDMI sound and pass the video through to the TV.You should never use the red/white/yellow cables for the best sound and video. HDMI is the only cable that will transmit digital video though component (red, blue, and green) video is close. Composite video (the yellow one) is the worst and of course 5.1 sound is far better than stereo (red and white) sound. They bundle the red, white, and yellow cables together but it is still composite video and stereo sound, not good for games at all.

This is a pretty tough one because some will swear by the red hook and others, like myself would say it’s all gimmick. If you understand the color spectrum under the water, Red doesn’t really dissapear, it turns gray-black after a few feet. The idea behind the red hook is that it’s supposed to be used for top water applications or within the first 3 feet in the water column. This is true to some degree but water clarity does play a major role here. Crystal clear water and you can see the red in the hook until it hits bottom. Tainted water and it’s just a few feet. This in combination of a lure will make it look like the bait is flaring it’s gills…a sign of distress or feeding, not bleeding. This is supposed to provoke an insticnt in the fish to attack involuntarilly. Yeah…anyways, You can use these hooks with any lure color you can dream up. They are supposed to be better with top water and down to 3 feet or so but like I said, water clarity is the key.

Component video is sometimes referred to as Y, Pb, Pg. You should be able to connect this cable to your TV by matching the blue and red cables to their respective jacks, and plugging the yellow cable into the red jack.If that doesn’t work, and your TV doesn’t have a HDMI input, you’ll have to go get a PS3 component video cable that plugs into the PS3′s multi-AV output port. If your TV does have a HDMI port, get a real HDMI cable but don’t spend more than $10-15 in the store for one. If you can’t find one for this price, go online to Monoprice.com and buy one there for $7.

Well, once upon a time, Red Hook was considered to be a rather bad neighborhood, and it’s still kinda tough, although, like most of NY, it’s been somewhat “gentrified” now.Good luck, and the links below are to a couple of webpages all about Red Hook today…

So your TV only has Component ( the purple red and blue), and 1 S-video input. I’m very surprised that it doesn’t have an RCA input (red yellow and white). If you’re connecting everything through the S-video input and don’t want to switch cables everytime, just buy a selector like this:http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?parentPage=search&summary=summary&techSpecs=techSpecs¤tTab=summary&cp=&custRatings=custRatings&features=features&accessories=accessories&productId=2049647&origkw=a%2Fv+switch&support=support&kw=a%2Fv+switch&tab=features

Yes, Red Hook is changing and changing fast (the first IKEA in NYC limits is opening there this summer). You’re at a disadvantage because there is no subway access to Red Hook (you have to take a 5 min bus ride to the train), but other than that Red Hook is a great neighborhood. I have a lot of friends in their late 20s/early 30s who live there and claim that it’s the best kept secret in Brooklyn. And yes, I’m familiar with the Boston area and Roxbury’s reputation. I can assure you that Red Hook is no Roxbury.

It won’t work and may damage the iPod. The output of an iPod is intended for small headphones.Buy powered speakers intended for the purpose. Walmart, Target, Radio Shack and places like that have inexpensive iPod docks with powered speakers for that purpose. The one below is battery powered and sounds nice, for about $30.
