Just my Mother’s recipe secondwis…OLGA’s PUMPKIN PIE:1 cup sugar 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice1/2 teaspoon ground cloves1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg1 1/2 cups pumpkin puree, canned or fresh 1 2/3 cups evaporated milk (I use 1 (12oz.) can)2 eggs, lightly beaten 1 unbaked pastry shell (9-inch)Combine sugar, salt, and spices in a large mixing bowl. Add pumpkin, evaporated milk, and eggs; mix well. Pour into pastry-lined pie pan. Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes. Shield the crust edge with a pie shield ring or fashion one with aluminum foil and place over edge. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake 40 minutes or until center is set.

Our church does something where they collect the candy, then send it to the troops overseas. I’m not sure of the specifics, but this may helphttp://www.operationshoebox.com/Here is a site with several ideas that might appeal to you:http://www.keepkidshealthy.com/nutrition/halloween_candy.htmlhttp://kidshealth.org/kid/talk/kidssay/comments_halloween.htmlSome dentists also take it as trade-ins for something else – check with yours! =)

Haven’t you had pumpkin pie before? Well that’s made from baked pumpkins.Of course that’s after adding sugar and spices.

i definitely like the pumpkins better! i think the ingredients probably are the same, but even if they are, the texture of the pumpkins is better…the surface area to volume ratio is smaller than in candy corn, so there’s more of a soft inside and they don’t get hard/stale as fast. yummmm i love them!

Considering candy corn is primarily honey and sugar, I would say that the only reason Copper has been throwing up is because he had to eat a lot of it and got a stomach ache.Just keep monitoring him and if anything gets worse at all, take him into the vet and make sure he’s okay. Never hurts to give them a call and ask too.Otherwise, it could be symptoms of another sickness that attacks young pups, such as parvo. I’ll link you to a site where you can look at parvo symptoms and a site for candy corn ingredients.Good luck!
