Overall, the Painted Jig was great, and I have no problem recommending Painted Jig for anyone wanting one. LOVE THIS Painted Jig
Baby nursery, Winnie the Pooh theme, looking for creative ideas
so far we've decided to go with red-shirt pooh, rather than the classic poohand we've decided to use a neutral color scheme, particularly light greenbut besides buying the "Winnie the Pooh" line of baby items that everyone else has (crib, bedding, mobile, lamp, diaper stacker, etc...) we just don't have many creative ideas to make this nursery our-own (one-of-a-kind)we've talked about getting a stuffed-animal hammock for the corner and using it to hold all the stuffed-animal Winnie the Pooh characters from our childhood (Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, Eeyore, Kanga, Roo, Gopher, Rabbit, Owl, etc...)we've also talked about painting Painted Jig some empty flower pots with the word "hunny" on the side and use them to hold little things like diaper creams and pacifiers, any little knick-knacks that baby needs handyas far as the walls go, we decided to frame finished mosaic style jig-saw puzzles of Pooh and Tigger rather than paint (since we rent) or hang the same old framed posters you see in all the nurserieslink to one of the puzzles we are using:http://www.buffalogames.com/products/1000_piece_puzzles/disney_photomosaics/?tx_ttproducts_pi1[backPID]=70&tx_ttproducts_pi1[product]=165&tx_ttproducts_pi1[cat]=8&cHash=01fbc7632fWe're really at a loss here,we want this nursery to be fun and playful, something the whole budding family can enjoy...can anyone offer any unique or creative ideas for decor? Specifically any Winnie the Pooh craft ideas, we are crafty people who would very much enjoy making something one-of-a-kind for our baby's room. We'd appreciate links to any sites with ideas as well. Thanks for any shared ideas!PS, to help get the creative juices flowing we've been doing research on Winnie the Pooh's history on these sites:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Winnie_the_Poohand here's some more specific history to the shows my husband and I enjoyed as children, the shows which we want our to base our nursery off-of:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_New_Adventures_of_Winnie_the_PoohThanks again!

To make the grids, you could put a notch in all of the vertical grids on the back and all of the horizontal grids on the front. The notches would be at exactly where the pieces intersect, just a fuzz wider than the grids themselves, and at least half of the depth of the grids. Then, you place all of the horizontal grids with the notch in front into the frame. Finally, you place all of the vertical grids in place over the horizontal grids. Once they’re in place, you can secure them from the back with thin screws or small finishing nails. The rest is just a basic frame with a back on it, and little doors for each grid opening (square of wood with a hinge and latch).

That depends on the angle of the curve. A jig saw only does a limited curve, think oval. A scroll saw will do curves of any angle including random squiggle cut lines. A rotozip can do anything a scroll saw can, but not as cleanly and it tends to push you in directions you don’t want to go. It is more a carpenter’s tool, than a craftsman’s tool. For sanding get supplies for a palm sander and hand sanding. Both of which are inexpensive. Also a router is an excellent tool for making edges beautiful.

If a hook is to big. Put a couple of straight pins in your tackle box or safety pins will work.

The best advice I can give you in short is Janns, see under source.Powder paint is powder coating and comes in many colors. It can be used on any surface that can handle heat upward of 350 degrees and comes in kit form too.You may also try epoxy finish with paint pigment to custom make your own paint colors.Paint pigment can be used with epoxy finish and found at any Marine store.Use a spatula or build your own spatula to add epoxy or paint to your lures. A spatula can last you a lifetime and is better suited for this type of job. Airbrushing is excellent and not so expensive anymore to acquire a system, yes they do have extremely expensive systems but unless you’re doing hundreds of lures a week there is no reason to buy an airbrush equipment.Paasche is the best when it comes to airbrushing.I assume your clear epoxy is the same as 2-ton clear epoxy which I used myself and a good choice, see technical data sheet in source for devcon clear epoxy.Flex-coat has an iridescent finish which comes as a kit in either 2 oz or 4 oz’s
