Nail Head Free Helpful Info

   Yes drive the nail flush and use a good quality anti mold/mildew primer as this stuff will get these nasties if you dont.

   I have used it, and it did work fairly well for something not made for such a thing. The only problem that I ran into was the nail polish chipping quite often. I assume it was because of the water getting to it. But yes, it will work quite well. You just may find yourself re-painting the jig heads pretty often. As you probably know, there are paints specifically made for painting lures and what not. I’ve found that these paints are much more durable and will last much longer than the nail polish will, for me anyways.

   That is assuming that you have somehow magnetized the nail. Bring a compass near the nail, and the north-seeking needle will point to the south pole of your magnetized nail.The reason for this seemingly odd behavior is that the south pole of the Earth’s magnetic field is actually near the north pole. Say that again. The Earth’s south magnetic pole is in the arctic near the north pole. So when a magnet points north, that end of the needle is the north pole of the compass pointer.
