Please Answer- What do you think of this poem?
Please read this poem. I made it 1 year ago when my parents got in a fight. I'm 11 now so I wrote it when I was 10. Please tell what you think and what I can do to improve my skill of writing!!!I waited and waited, I couldnt wait anymoreI screamed with anger, and stomped on the floorToday was the day daddy came backThe last time I saw him was a while backI began to worry as I layed in my bedAll curled in a ball as I sobbed with dred.I got frightened when I heard his voice moanSince there was no one here, I was home aloneMommy was working, it wasnt very farHopefully she was soon leaving, and starting her carHe came in with a smile on his big bold faceAnd when I saw him I ran towards him at a very swift paceHe was happy and amazed, he did a glad jigOh Eye Jig Boy! Youve grown! Youve gotton so big!My happiness faded as I remembered the pastAnd I just knew that this was to good to last.I missed when mommy and daddy got alongWhen they kissed and hugged, it made there love strongSince the day mom sold the houseAnd dad went his wayI couldnt stop crying, not for a single day.Mom said change was good, but I thought oppositeNever did I agree not a single bit.I then said, Daddy, why did you have to go?I missed when we where a family, it made me feel special.Im sorry I was mean, I was the reason for my problemThats ok honey, your still my little blossom. He looked at me, eye to eye as he took my hand and started to cryEven though we are far apart, you will always be in my heart.Dont worry, dont cry, ill always be hereYou just have to call, and I will soon appear.Darling, I love you, now dont you be sadRemember all the precious memories we had?The time you and I made those cupcakesburned all twenty? And all the fun crafts we used to makeAnd how there where plenty?Dont worry, sweety. I miss you, too. I better get going, It will be dark soon.Ill tell you what. I will visit you eachdayAnd ill move back in, if mommy lets me staya smile lit up on me as I gave him a kissI quickly called mommy to beg her for thisShe then forgave daddy and if only still to this day,Does daddy love mommy the same exact way.I felt moist on my face and sand in my eyeAnd that very moment I noticed why The love I was feeling was just a dreamAnd everything Dad said he didnt really mean.If only for one day I could remember the daysWhen daddy loved mommy in so many ways.

there is no “best” lure. It al depends on situation. I would say decide what fish you want, find out what they eat mostly, and try to imitate it.

  2. Bella Says:

    hes a lunatic

  3. Gary Says:

You will stretch further than you,at this time realize, know. But you will not tear.A bit ragged around the edges at times, but that is ok.Gives one character.Gary.

  4. speedy3517 Says:

I would create a graph with each word a node and the edges connecting the nodes that are only one letter apart. Then, use Djikstra’s shortest-path algorithm to find your sequence

0.0THAT IS SO AWESOMEIt’s like, soooooooooooooooooooooo epic, I love the magic and the kool names and the epic explaining and stuff, post it on DeviantART or something when you’re done okay? I esriously think that if I don’t read more, I’ll go crazy.I wouldn’t change a THING, except this sentence:Our green eyes were the only thing that tacked us as relatives, and even those were different mine were framed by a soft flutter of golden lashes. While Willow’s had luxurious dark red lashes. That should all be one sentence, because the last one is incomplete. You can change the period to a comma though. And then here:These things happen to me to. The last “to” should be spelled “too”, you use that kind when you could put “also” there and it would still make sense :D HOPE I HELP ANDPLEASE PLEASElet me read ur finished story :D

  6. Josh Says:

A safety pin will do just fine like mentioned. Wal Mart carries a pretty neat little gadget called an eye cleaner. It’s made specifically for that but also has clippers on them to quickly get the knots and what not off of the eye also.

  9. jelesais2000 Says:

Did the doctor examine your eye? If so, he’s probably right, but if not, it could be a sign of blood getting into your edinal fluid. Usually it’s not a problem and will clear up. But if it happens frequently, get your eye examined by a specialist. The worst it could be is the onset of a detached retina which can be fixed. The sooner it’s caught, the shorter the tome required to repair it. Any blow to the head can cause bleeding, as can a hard sneeze, allergies, sinus and colds, etc. Good luck, and I hope it’s not more than a painless migraine.

  10. Mike Says:

He was probably “snagging” the fish. Snagging is when you catch a fish by hooking it anywhere other than in the mouth without the fish trying to bite the bait. It is also ILLEGAL to snag most types of fish. Don’t do it.

  11. hippychickali26 Says:

There are two clear advantages to humans walking on two feet as opposed to four:1. It allows us to see over more obstacles thus helping us see prey, predators, mates, environmental dangers, etc. more readily.2. Walking upright exposes more of the body to the elements which helps to regulate body temperature. There are no doubt more reasons than that but these two are the main ones. Remember: All of these changes took place gradually so our bodies adjusted well to them.

  12. porkstar3 Says:

head for Wal-Mart. I got a one for exactly the same use myself. I think it’s made by Plano. It even has a spot on it so you can clip it to your belt or put i on a cord to sling it over your shoulder or easy portability. You’ll pay more in shipping from basspro than you can buy the item for at Wal-Mart. Besides, the sooner you have it, the sooner you can be out catching a “mess” of Crappie for supper. Good luck

  13. Publius Says:

You gave an excellent illustration. Thank you.Cheats can repent and change, but it’s really up to the victim to decide if the relationship can go on or not.Even pedophiles can repent, but it is not easy. Most pedophiles and adulterers probably do not want to repent. I haven’t exactly conducted a survey. I like a variation of your story where a rattlesnake tells a dying Indian, “You knew what I was when you picked me up.” If a man tries to fool around before he’s married, you’re taking a big chance marrying him. He might still try to fool around afterwards.

  14. funinthegreat Says:

I have done it that way before and yes it is fun. Sure beats buying sweat shop bait. Maybe it’s just me but I think ones right out of the creek make the best bait. They are more energetic and don’t tire as easily as bait shop minnows. I have wondered if bait shop minnows have a smell that fish don’t care for from being in a tank? I have always had better luck with ones I caught or bait shop chubs I kept in a live well in the lake for about three weeks.

  15. libby Says:

I think this poem is a reflection on one man’s life. The catches he chases are not just fish but metaphorically represent his life choices and endeavours. In the first stanza the fish he catches are rather loose women with red lips, open mouths and to him are pleasing to his eye. It is not for their spiritual souls he fishes, it is for lust. Like moths to a flame they are easily distracted by another’s attention or another’s bed. These catches came easily but are just as easily lost. As a young man his taste was suspect as he wallowed in a bloody sty.Stanza two sees him older but not wiser. He is no longer a player but a drinker. His mind is addled by whiskey and he is in the pits of depression. He no longer meets the world as he wallows this time in an alcoholic room of stupor. He does not dress nor know the day of the week as he stews in rage and is eaten from within by worms and worried by gnats.I will leave you to carry this analysis through if you agree the poem can be read this way.Robert Lowell was a tormented soul with many a crisis in his world.

  16. James W Says:

Nope. That combo will not cast something that size very well. I’ve tried it already. However, there’s another rod from Wal-Mart that will cast something this light. The model is Shakespeare Micro Graphite one piece 4’6″ spinning rod. The rod could be a little hard to find but you will see them on the rack from time to time. The current prices on those rods around my area are $14.95 and $16.95 depending on the store. You will need to pay attention when you buy the rod though. I found 3 of them on the rack 4 days ago. All 3 got different stiffness and not all of them will bend in a nice curve. The stiffer ones should be very nice on trout. The limper ones will be more suitable for bluegills and crappie. I got myself a stiffer one and I got small bluegills dropping lures on me. (Don’t think I will have lure dropping problems if I used 1.5″ grubs though. LOL) Don’t use those rods on carp though. Those rods don’t have enough backbone to turn the fish. I hooked up with a carp around 10 pounds 3 days ago and I almost got spooled because I couldn’t turn it at all. So far, this is the first untra-light rod I got from Wal-Mart that couldn’t turn a carp. But there are VERY few rods that will cast lures this size nicely.By the way, I used this for my light lure casting test. http://www.troutmagnet.com/store/chartreuse-trout-magnet-8-piece-pack-p-65.htmlAlso, I was using 2lb test Berkley SensiThin on a tiny reel that holds 185 yards of 2lb test line. Tiny reels will align better with line guides on smaller rods and give you better casting distance. They will also balance better on those tiny rods.

  17. Grannyjill Says:

You know, I’m beginning to ‘get you’………..this is great. I don’t understand it all – but, heck, what’s a slight lack of understanding between friends? It’s a pity, though, that you cannot spell ‘queue’ – the one you have chosen is what you play snooker, or billiards with (and hand-brake turn is spelled thus <——)ps how come you can spell Latin then?Keep ‘em coming if they’re as good as this

  18. Green Thumb Says:

This is a very well written poem and touched me deeply. If you are only 11 years old and capable of writing such, I believe you have great potential! Good job sweetie.

  19. talkbox36 Says:

Step One:Apply your foundation and coverup, but make sure your skin isn’t too light for the look you are getting at.Step Two:Put on a goldish base eyeshadow. Then apply a lighter silverish color going up until your eyebrow. Over that silverish, apply a light gold shimmer to make it dazzle.Step Three:Your eyeliner is very important for this look. Apply a heavy dark black line under your eyes (on your regular eyeliner area) then trace a dark line of eyeliner on your eyelid, right above your eyelashes. Make sure you have thick coats of eyeliner.Step Four:Apply a small amount of black mascara.Step Five:For your lips, put on a thick coating of natural clearish pink lip gloss.Step 5:Enjoy your new look ;)
