what do you think of my story?
hey! im 13 and love to write! i usually dont write love stories but when i was given the prompt i was hooked! i like the way the story turned out but im a little embarrassed to have anyone else read it because it came from the heart and alot of it was fueled by emotions that i dont want to share with anyone just yet but i would love some input as to what you think aobut the story! i appreciate positive, constructive critisism! thanks:)TwinkleHer face was calm like an old woman’s solemn knowledge. She walked with ease and confidence, a straight face at a glance but in a second a twinkle. Her cheek bones were smooth and high, like rolling peaks of alabaster stone. A mossy green slab of color twisted around her pupils like a jagged vine. It was only her face that caught my eye, not the Levi’s holding her legs, not the tank top supporting her chest; it was her face. Calm and soft, a dove of a girl. I couldn’t bear not having her. The women of this generation were all too flirtatious but she was different. She stuck out from the crowd, her brown hair glittering like a soothing wave of mist. She caught my eye at the Starbucks. I couldn’t say the sign was greener than ever that day but indeed it did shine, just a bit. The bricks in front seemed to soak in a light shade of maroon coated with small fractures as divine as imperfection. I hadn’t the least idea of what I was going to buy, corporate America had already squeezed me enough, but I was indeed hungry. The glass doors drew open as I pushed against the bronze bar and at once she turned, a plastic cup dropped to the ground, speckles of coffee cascaded to the ground. I looked Hooks Bronze up only to see her smiling. Her smooth lips resembled peaches, soft and supple while her teeth shown proudly like a glistening reign of joy. An apology bubbled at my lips but she beat me to it. Her voice slithered around my ears as I continued to stare at her pink lips. “I’m Kara…” she leant out her hand and I suddenly realized I hadn’t been breathing. Slowly I gathered my wits and I shook myself awake from the dream, her green emeralds wrapping me up warmly like a plastic seal, her smile cuddling against my heart. She couldn’t have had seen something in me, I was 25, out of work, out of college, a dead beat. I had a one room apartment, company came as often as never and I demonstrated an intense loving of physics and architecture. “I’m so sorry-uhm-my names Jason…” My insolence and silent gasps reminded me of a younger, awkward teen me. A gawk of words at once left my lips and I forgot to let go of her hand. She seemed not to pull away, only to be patient and subtle as a rabbit stealing carrots. Her lips still held up, her teeth, diamonds. She possibly couldn’t have the slightest bit of interests in me, she was too perfect for me to accept her possible flaws if she had any! Well, of course she had flaws; her flaw was perfection, the divine right to agree to disagree. Flaws defined my very character. I was at once only myself as a child and now I stood, awkwardly eyeing a beautiful young woman about to leave my presence. Her gaze held steady though and I needn’t continue talking. The smile still didn’t drift, not even the slightest bit. At once I felt my lips tugging to either side of my face as a light string anchored my emotions to a climax. Her gaze twisted me and labeled me interested. I hadn’t ever had a girlfriend, not once, I was idiotic to consider it at the moment I met her gaze but it left me needing her presence. The thought dwelled on me like a shadow and I at once asked her if she would like me to call her sometime. Her smile continued to bound off my heart rapidly and my face grew hot. She still stood, in daze almost, as was i. I noticed a rack of napkins and saw her begin to follow my arm. It quickly snatched up a flimsy sheet of paper that read “starbucks” but now looked a bit more like “tabucks” due to the amount of crumpling I put into it. Kara reached into her pocket and pulled out a crayon no longer then her thumb and she scribbled her number into the napkin aggressively. She at once pressed the napkin onto my chest and walked away. It was at once then she turned backwards whens stopping outside of the door, only to stare into my eyes one last time. Calling her would be suicidal and I couldn’t bear the sting of love even if had one but I did and her voice remained calm and un-scratched by age. Her smile dwelled amongst my thoughts for days and it was then I realized that she was a different human, one of intellect and individuality, not one of social status and rumor, not a girl of words but a girl of heart. She remained a girl of heart until the time of her death, now as I sketch her eyes and smile into this pad I cannot blame her, for she had an endless perfection that I couldn’t bring myself to accept. I loved her dearly, I loved her like no other but I lost her and now i would have to face her amonst the angels. i love you kara and im coming to get you.
