The weight and velocity do not matter. things fall at the same rate regardless of their ‘weight’ and velocity. If you shoot a bullet and drop a bullet at the same time, given that you shoot exactly horizontally, the bullets would hit the ground at the same time.

Wheel weights have dried up because the dealerships are selling them to recyclers now that the price of lead has gone upI worked a deal with a local city maintainence shop to put five gallon bucket in their tire shopGot about 30 pounds in a monthThe other less appealing option is to scrounge the parking lot of a semi truck tire storeI would get about 2 to5 pounds a week from there

Bah. All of it works good as long as it goes “bang”.If you hear “BOOM” and a chunk of lead goes downrange with reasonable accuracy, then the bullet is good. Just find what you and the gun like most.

46.7 grams or 721 grains (standard .50 bullet)

They’re BB’s, not bullets.Lighter the weight, the faster, but more inaccurate and physically unstable they are..12′s: 225 FPS (with .20′s) or lower, never in an electric, or a gun with a hop-up unit. Drastically faster than .20′s. Horribly inaccurate, and easily break inside your gun, tearing up the internals, the seams (There are no high quality .12′s. Don’t let them bullshit you.) cut up the barrel and hop-up bucking and spacer/nub..20′s: Standard weight, and don’t trust a website that doesn’t test with them. Good accuracy if you have under 350..23′s: Slightly more accurate than .20′s, and will reduce your FPS a bit..25′s: The lightest you’ll want to use in a sniper rifle. Good for 400+ FPS..28′s: Base weight for slightly upgraded and stock sniper rifles. 400+.30′s: Just about the same as .28′s. Minute increase in accuracy. heaviest you’ll want to use in an AEG. If you need these for good accuracy, you need a weaker spring and upgrades..36′s: Good for moderately upgraded sniper rifles. 450+.40′s: Upgraded sniper rifles only. 475+, amazingly accurate if you have around 400..43′s: Upgraded sniper rifles only. 500+.Airsoft Elite and MadBull have the best BB’s on the market. There is a difference between AE Blacks (higher quality) and AE Whites.

The lightest would be the .490 patched round ball at 176grains in pure lead.

Nope, in the metric countries they use gram. Look for example at the .357 magnum(or 9x33R if you are in Europe) ballistic performance. The bullet weights are listed both in grains and grams. Cartridge measurements also in inch and mm.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.357_magnumUse some of the links at the bottom of the article for other cartridges and see how much your favorite bullet weighs in grams.

Not sure about the first one because it could be considered kinetic energy because the weights are moving, but potential energy makes more sinceyes the string has tension(force) upon on it which keeps the ball from flying awayyes, its force times distance, there would be both in the x and y directioni don’t understand the last question but if its the same bullet they have no kinetic energy

lead has also been used on roofs of buildings!

You have to add in the “Hatcher” factor.Cross sectional area of the bullet.Lets say you got two bullets, both the same weight, both the same speed. One is 30 caliber and the other is 45 caliber. Which do you think will do the greater damage once they hit? The 45 due to is larger cross sectional area will make a bigger entry hole and due to its size, it will be less likely to drill right through the target and come out the other side, thus more kinetic energy will be transferred to the target and that will do more damage. However, if you just want to talk about kinetic energy, the formula isOne half the mass (M) times the square of the speed (V). 1/2 * M * (V*v) As you can see from this, if you double the mass, you will only double the kinetic energy. But if you double the speed, you will quadruple the kinetic energy. So a 100 grain bullet going at 1000 feet per second will give you 1/2 * 100 * 1000 * 1000. 50,000,000 units (usually converted into foot pounds) But a 50 grain bullet going at 2000 feet per second will give you 1/2 * 50 * 2000 * 2000.100,000,000 units. Which is double. But the best of both worlds, is a 100 grain bullet going at 2000 feet per second.1/2 * 100 * 2000 * 2000 or 200,000,000 units. So bottom line, big and fast is best. Get a 50 caliber BMG round and really do damage.

well, it would have helped to know the fps of your gun. but if your gun shoots 460 /2.’s… well ima guess that because thats the average for L96′s.20: Velocity: 460 fps Accuracy: poor.25: Velocity: 410 Accuracy: average.30: Velocity: 375 Accuracy: great.3′s will go about 25 feet less than .25′s and 50 ft less than .2′s, however the pain from all bb’s will be the same. this is because its the same amount of energy in the bb, just a heiver bb will slow it down.
