My brother has drug problems and is in trouble a lot, how can I help him?
My brother is 3 years younger than me and like most 1st and 2nd borns we are polar opposites. I'm married with kids, never really in trouble, don't smoke don't drink and work full time. He has been in and out of trouble from the time he was 15. He has smoked since then got busted for "nickle and dime" stuff as far as stealing i.e. cigarrettes, halloween makeup, stuff like that. He dropped out of school at 16, went Hook Nickle to job corps and got a girl pregnant and while there became hooked on meth. He dropped out of there and shortly after got busted robbing a caterpillar truck and a hotel room. Since then he has been in and out of jail, house arrests and probation and just when we think he's straightened out he is back in trouble. He is back in jail now for God only knows how long. I want to help him, especially with the drug problem. I know what meth does and I don't want to see him die. I also don't want my kids to NOT know him, but how good is it for them to have an uncle in jail?Also, he has been in and out of rehab for the problem AND boot camp. With everything he tries he does well for about a month and then he starts running in with the same people he tends to get in trouble with. I feel like if he could get out of that town it would help but he can't leave till he is off probation and will never get off probation if he doesn't stay out of trouble. It is breaking my heart.
