Never heard of anywhere that has frozen suckers. I’ve seen salt minnows in bait shops that might do the trick. Just an idea for future years: get a seine and seine your own bait and freeze them in vaccum packs or in water. That way you will have them when you need them.

If you live in the US chances are no where. Although fish laws vary from state to state fish that are raised as fingerlings by the state to supply stocking are not allowed to be sold in the state. I live in PA and it is against the law to sell, breed, transport out of state any native fish or turtle dead or alive.Your best bet as the other poster said is to go and catch one. There are some supplying farms however in Georgia and a few other states that you can actually buy these fish for stocking your pond, but we are talking about poundage of fish here not just one or two.You may want to call your local fish comission. If there are any of these breeders/suppliers they should be able to tell you where you could purchase a small amount.

l expect you should have a good year there.consider though, the west coasters…depleted salmon runs and fishing availability, closures for rock cod fishing… even being limited to the DEPTHS we can fish. mass closures of hundreds of sq miles of ocean to angling, reduced stockings of lakes and streams.anglers here are in deep doodoo where our fishing is concerned. although, so far, we have been told we will be allowed a limited salmon season this year. maybe.

Nathan gets my vote. The Bango Minnow is just a glorified Fluke or Senko rigged with a “wired” weedless hook instead of being Texas-rigged. And I totally agree, they are very small lures to use for Musky.Large Musky tend to want BIG dinners. The info-mercial where the guy is catching huge Pike/Musky with his Bango Minnow is a scam. (There are places in Canada where you could cut a 8″ strip out of your jeans, thread it on a hook, and catch your limit of Pike!)In other words, catching huge Northerns/Musky on a pristine lake in Canada (like they did on the info-mercial for the Banjo Minnow) isn’t very hard. The test of a quality lure is how many fish it catches in “used”, “over-fished”, waters. The Banjo Minnow catches more fishermen than fish!

I went to a lake which I believe is called Beaver Lake in Minnesota a couple years in a row and had no trouble catching monster bass and a few good size pike. The locals all said there was good muskie fishing there, but we didn’t bother because we were doing so well without them. It’s a small lake that you have to go through a pretty narrow “channel” to get to from a much bigger lake (which also has pretty good pike fishing)A nearby lake we went to (Black Lake) was a haven for perch and panfish. We just stayed at a state park near the lake and launched our boat every day.We also had good luck in Gull Lake and Grass Lake.

lakes for Trout and pike try spinney mountain or stage coach. For bass standley lake or chatfield. You could catch big hybrid striped bass at most of the bigger lakes anywhere in colorado also.
