The middle of the day or even the heat of the summer does not necessarily mean the fish are in the middle of the lake. They are also around the base of the cypress trees, usually on the shady side, and are off the points in a little deeper water then earlier in the day . Lilly pads are also good middle of the day spots to fish. Sometimes in the middle of the day you can find schools of bass feeding on threadfin shad on the surface of the water. You lure choice would be determined where you are fishing at. For instance the point would be a good crankbait spot, or a weighted lizard or worm. The cypress trees would produce fish using a weighted lizard or worm, or crankbait, or spinner bait. The schooling bass could be caught on buzz baits, crankbaits or the plastics. Even top water will produce fish when a school is found. If one type of structure or area fails to produce fish, go to the next area and try it out. There are some days when the middle of the day has produced my best catches.Just go, have fun, and good luck!

I’d say the CR of such a creature should be in the 12-16 range. Definitely nowhere less than 10, since he has 10 HD. However, due to the fact that any weapon he wields is a +4 flaming vorpal weapon, the CR should most certainly be higher than a meager 10. That’s a pretty formidable ability and the PCs should get a worthwhile XP reward for defeating something that dangerous.Hope that helps! Have fun :-)

hey man, for starters i just want to welcome you to fishing. it is something that you can take with you for the rest of your life and hopefully pass down from generation to generation. well back to your question. every lure that i have used never required a weight. i know that allot of lures are light and sometimes they are hard to get out there but if you add a weight the weight will mess with the action of your lure and the lure will not move properly. the advice that i will leave with you is,since you are new to fishing, keep practicing with the reel and rod and with weights of different sizes. another thing that might help you cast your lure out where you are wanting it is to try a smaller line. if you have a thick line and you have a light lure it is going to be hard to get it out a good distance. you said that you were going after bream so all the line you really need is a 4 lb test line. nothing bigger. with a 4 lb line you should be able to sling just about any type of lure. but man, i wouldn’t add a weight, just keep at it keep practicing and you will get it.i hope this helps you out at least a little, good luck good fishin be safe and remember to share the experience

I often fish for walleye and pike also and I find that using Stren Super Strength 8lb braided line is perfect for almost every fish I land, I prefer braided to mono because it seems to break less and doesn’t stretch either. Make sure you use a steel leader because walleye and pike both have pretty gnarly teeth. If your just targeting those two fish I’ve found my best success comes from using spoons, more specifically a yellow spoon with three red dots on it…works like a charm.

I always have decent luck on lakes with poppers in the morning and jointed raps in the afternoon/evening.

Crank baits such as Rapala’s Shad Rap is a good start, My personal favorite is the Model A Bomber from Bomber Lures also a Bill Dance Favorite. I cant tell you how many Bass Ive caught on just that one lure alone. Don’t forget about those top water lures. where do I start? Top water Popper lures are awesome for summertime Bass. Frogs work very well, so do buzz baits. The soft lures are not something I use too often, but when I do nothing beats a crawdad type soft bait. Bass really aren’t that picky, they are territorial, and hungry or not they will bite just because its in its territory, this is why so many type of lures will work. Lure color section really is KEY.to read about it check out this article, I hope you will find it helpful.http://fishinbass.webs.com/lurecolorsection.htmas far as your rod and reel, any will do, I could go out and buy a Scoobie Doo rod and reel combo and catch just as many Bass as the guy next to me using a $300. set up, its all about how you present the Lure in the water, the fish don’t care what you have above the water. When I was very young my father had my sister and I fishing with bamboo poles. Fish after fish is what I remember about it. Oh yea and my sister crying because she had to kill the worm.lol

  12. bassplayer_1313 Says:

get some 6 or 7 inch robo worms in oxblood/red flake. rig these weedless (texas rigged) with a 2/0 or 3/0 offset shank worm hook. NOT the extra wide gap. use a 3/16 or 1/4 ounce worm weight with 8 or 10lb line. work it very slow, on the bottom, IN the rocks/weeds.this should produce some strikes for you. landing any fish is going to be up to you.

  13. done Says:

You really should make your landlord fix it. This isn’t exactly “upkeep”. Changing light bulbs and filters, cleaning carpets, even stopping a faucet from dripping might be upkeep. However, troubleshooting and repairing gas appliances simply isn’t “upkeep”. But, if you must, turn off the power and put a screwdriver on every terminal connection you can find. Please use the proper type and size of screwdriver.Next, gently tug on the spade connections. you are looking for any that easily slip off or feel loose. They consist of a male and female side. They are usually the 1/8″ wide male side sticking out of a control board or switch and the female side slips over it. If you find one that is loose, slightly squeeze the female side to close the gap and reconnect. While you are in there, vacuum out anything you can reach. A small diameter flexible hose (3/8″ – 1/2″) taped to your vacuum is helpful. It lets you get into the nooks and carnies and really boosts the velocity to clean out burner orifices.Turn the power back on and accept (you and your landlord) that a proffessional is needed if the problem continues.G’luck!

  18. John M Says:

rapalas are good if its not too weedy. if its weedy, use a johnson silver minnow, which is a weedless spoon. ad a platic grub tail on the hood to increase effectiveness

  19. machman4 Says:

No matter how high-tech things get, synthetics and lures will never be as good as the real thing. Bait tastes natural, smells natural, and the fish won’t spit it out once they realize it’s rubber and metal. Lures can be fine tuned to a species and can be more versatile and alluring, especially the high-end ones that mimic movement. They are also reusable.

  20. Beatriz Says:

Just like everyone else has said… Mosquitos are attracted to light…. so if you can distract them away from your room by providing them another light source you should be able to lure them away and get back to bed.
