As you said the Erie Dearie with a night crawler or large shiner work very well, Strangely though Lake Erie is about the only place I have fished these with great success. I guess you have attached them to bottom bouncers, right?A pygmy lure is almost the same thing, and also works very well in Lake Erie also. Now I have caught walleye there on crankbaits also, one of our party on one trip I remember caught a large walleye on an orange colored rattle trap.Hope this helps!

Tiger,The best thing you can do is shut off the computer and drive down to a local Bait&Tackle shop..They will be more than happy to help you with what local species there are around you and how to catch them..tell them your budget and what you like to do and they will set you up on the spot. Make sure to call them when you are done to give a report..they love to hear from customers so they can spread the news around town. Have Fun!
