Does she have custody? Are there any restrictions in the parenting plan to keep her from going? Is she married to a service member or is she the service member? If she is the service member and has custody, she will most likely be able to take them.If you don’t want them to go with her and have a good case as to why they need to stay state side with you, go get a lawyer.

International rates calling directly from cell phone, going through your cell phone company, would be very expensive. Calling cards can be cheaper, but they usually charge what’s called “connection fee” per each call — for example, companies like penny talk charge 49c per each call just to connect you. So if you call and they’re not there, you are charged 49c + the first minute (4c for landlines/14c to cell) — just to leave a message.Another option I’ve found is what is referred to as a dial-around service: First you register your cell phone (or home phone) number with a company, you call a designated 1-800 number from that phone, then dial the number in Japan once connected. I go through a company called Total Call International to call my family in Japan — it’s 6.9c per minute to Japanese landlines, and 15.9c to call cell phones. No “connection fee” or monthly fee.If you both have a good internet connection and you know when you’ll talk to each other, you might want to do something like Skype PC-to-PC, as that would be free (you’d need a PC headset or phone).P.S. Keep in mind, if your friend’s number in Japan starts with a 0, you omit it in your dialing. E.g. If it starts with area code 03, you would dial 011-81(country code)-3-[the rest of the number].

You can attempt to sell it to a used car dealer, you can also ask to return it to NFCU and they sell it or you can put it in storage paid for by the Navy and it will be completely paid off when you come back.

Japan rentals run a little differant then in the states… okay ALOT differant…… Here are some links to try… although not sure how many will have any listings for Atsugi… Keep in mind while there is American Style Housing, Many are Japanses traditions, right down to the toilet and tubs!! EXPENSIVE to be off base…. it is not just a one month deposit, although there is assitance in regards to what is required upfront.. just keep in mind whatever the rent is 4-6 month amount will be needed to just move in, and only about one month is “refundable”… also keep in mind that although OHA is decent, that yen to american dollar changes many times a month, while your OHA amount will remain pretty contant (it is not refigured with currency exchange rates, only adjusted yearly). Many have gotten burned financially by taking a rental when the exchange rate is high to have the dollar drop and have ALOT come out of pocket. Also utitilites are ran differantly!!http://www.re-aoyama.com/rent/rent.htmlhttp://iino.cc/us/http://www.lifetownjapan.com/welcome.htmhttp://www.smilehouse.co.jp/Englishi%20newpage.htmThese will give you a pretty good idea… but few if any agents will contact you via email…. there is not “central listing” many trips to many differant agents. Base does have several listings with houses already approved that you will be able to sort threw once you get here.Sorry to say, about the only thing you can do before getting to Japan, is look and see what its like!! Been there done that!Finding rentals is near impossible! But lots of agency’s when you get here and walk down the street! Best of luck – and start working on the language NOW!

You have to browse through a proxy server that has IP addresses located in Japan (assuming this PC game is one you play online and not just on your PC).The game will record your IP address and since it is not located in Japan it will not allow you to play.

On the keyboard there is a key that toggles between English (single byte char) text mode and Japanese (double byte char mode)use that key to switch between the two modes. It is usually on the left hand side above the tab key. It has only Japanese written on it. Try that, i hope it helps.
